I like the slightly tilted vertical color gradient from blue to black behind the silhouette. It adds depth and interest to a beautifully composed piece. It almost has a mosaic feel to it with the organic pattern of all the smaller branches crossing in the background. It's my favorite so far, and my first favorite... you made a deviant out of me just so I could comment. ><

Thank you so much. I really love this piece too (though I have a number of naked tree pictures... I just have a thing for trees). This one is also a fav... it was one of the first really successful images I ever took.
